Dissertation
After the defence of my first scientific work on the problem of typologisation of religion in Ancient Egypt, I started to prepare my thesis for the degree of a Candidate of Science (equivalent to Ph.D.). Due to the disruption of the rhythm of the dissertation council due to epidemiological constraints associated with the spread of COVID-19, I was not able to defend my dissertation in 2020 in Moscow. Despite the unfavourable circumstances associated with the move from Moscow to the Urals, the postponement of the thesis defence opened new perspectives – at the end of 2022 I went on a research expedition to Egypt, where I had the opportunity to do research at the Dominican institute for oriental studies in Cairo and also in Luxor. The experience and insights I gained led me to the idea of working on a new dissertation project more focused on the transition into coptic Egypt. It is still to develop so, in the meantime, here are some insight about my previous research.
